Privacy notice
We take the protection of your personal data seriously and process it confidentially in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), the Telecommunications-Telemedia Data Protection Act (TTDSG) and this privacy notice.
1. Controller
Controller for the processing of personal data on this website within
the meaning of Art. 4 No. 7 GDPR is:
compronet GmbH
Siegelsdorfer Str. 14
90768 Fürth · Germany
Phone: +49 911 148 708 77-0
E-mail: kontakt@compronet.de
2. Hosting and server log files
This website is served statically from a data centre within the European Union (Frankfurt am Main, Germany). When a page is requested, the following technical access data is processed: IP address, date and time of the request, requested URL, amount of data transferred, referrer URL, browser type and operating system. These entries are stored in a server log file and automatically deleted after no more than 14 days. They are reviewed only to ensure technical operation and to detect and defend against attacks.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in the secure and stable operation of this website.
3. Cookies and local browser storage
This website sets no cookies. Two strictly necessary values are kept locally in your browser only:
- Colour mode (light / dark) — your display preference.
- Analytics consent (accepted / declined) — your decision regarding reach measurement (see section 4).
Neither value leaves your device or is transmitted to a server. Legal basis: § 25(2) No. 2 TTDSG — strictly necessary to deliver a setting you explicitly requested or to give effect to your consent choice.
4. Reach measurement
If you consent via the banner at the bottom of the screen, we collect aggregated usage statistics through self-hosted analytics software running on a server within the European Union. Only anonymised information is processed, in particular:
- requested URL and referrer URL
- approximate geographic region (country, sometimes federal state)
- browser family and operating-system class (e.g. "Firefox / macOS")
- screen-resolution class and browser language setting
No cookies are set, no IP addresses are stored and no profiles are built about you. Re-identification of individual users is technically not possible.
Legal basis: your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TTDSG. You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future — either via the banner (button "Decline") or by clearing the corresponding entry in your browser storage. The lawfulness of processing performed before withdrawal remains unaffected.
No processors within the meaning of Art. 28 GDPR are involved; the software runs on our own infrastructure.
5. Contact form and e-mail enquiries
When you send us an enquiry through the contact form or by e-mail, we process your inputs (name, company, e-mail, phone — if provided — and the body of your message together with the optional fields on interest and timing) exclusively to handle the enquiry and any follow-up. Data is not passed to third parties.
Retention: a maximum of six months after last contact, unless statutory retention obligations require longer. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract) and/or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to enquiries).
Spam protection is purely technical and uses no external service — a hidden field ("honeypot") plus an image security code (CAPTCHA) that is generated server-side on every submission and compared against a value kept in a strictly necessary session. Neither reCAPTCHA nor any other external spam service is used; the session cookie set for this purpose qualifies as strictly necessary under § 25(2) No. 2 TTDSG.
6. Fonts and external content
The fonts used on this website are served directly from the same server that delivers the pages. No external font services (e.g. Google Fonts) are called. This site embeds neither external scripts nor social-media plugins. With the following clearly delimited exception:
OpenStreetMap (map view on the contact page). On the /en/contact page we offer to embed a map view from OpenStreetMap (OpenStreetMap Foundation, St. John's Innovation Centre, Cowley Road, Cambridge, CB4 0WS, United Kingdom). The map does not load automatically: you first see a placeholder and decide yourself whether to display the map — either via the "External map" category in the privacy settings, or via the "Load the map" button on the placeholder itself.
Once the map loads, your browser — by technical necessity — transmits
your IP address and the URL of the requested map tile to the
OpenStreetMap Foundation's server infrastructure so the tile images can
be delivered. No further analysis is carried out by us or third parties.
No cookies are set. The referrerpolicy="no-referrer"
attribute prevents transmission of the originating URL.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 25(1) TTDSG — your consent. You may withdraw at any time via "Cookie settings" in the footer. The OpenStreetMap Foundation's privacy policy is available at osmfoundation.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy.
7. Your rights as a data subject
You have, at any time, the right to:
- access the personal data we process about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
- rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- erasure of your data (Art. 17 GDPR)
- restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
- withdraw a given consent with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR)
To exercise your rights an informal message to the address in section 1 suffices.
8. Right to complain
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority. The competent authority for us is the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.
9. Changes to this privacy notice
We update this notice whenever the legal situation or the processing operations described here change. The current revision date is shown in the top left.
